Parco Vergiliano in Piedigrotta
Addovà takes you on a visit to one of the lesser known parks of the city: Parco Vergiliano in Piedigrotta (not to be confused with the Parco Virgiliano of Posillipo).
The Parco Vergiliano in Piedigrotta is a place rich in history, culture, art and myths. Located at the Posillipo foothills and behind the church of Santa Maria di Piedigrotta in Mergellina, it houses the legendary tombs of Virgil and Giacomo Leopardi.
But its most interesting feature is certainly the suggestive Neapolitan Crypta, a symbolic place of myths and mystery.
