The ancient Moiariello: from Capodimonte to via Foria
A walk downhill from the hills of Capodimonte to the lower part of the city, passing by the Astronomical Observatory and the beautiful Palasciano tower.
The tower, visible from different points of the city, belonged in the past to the famous doctor Ferdinando Palasciano, precursor of the Italian red cross operating within the Bourbon army. Today, it still retains its charm and its magical suggestion.
We will walk our way down together towards the lower parts of the city, walking along the Ottavio Morisani ramps, the so-called Posillipo of the poor, and we will go trough the history of the places and anecdotes regarding the staircases of Naples, the votive shrines and a few illustrious characters. We will then walk towards the area of Miracoli, and from there to the Caserma Garibaldi, in via Foria.
A relaxing break from the smog and chaos of the city, and a privileged view of our city from above.
