Grotta di Seiano and the Pausilypon archaeological park
Addovà takes you to discover the beautiful Grotta di Seiano (Seiano Cave).
Few people know this, but the artificial cave that unites Coroglio with the Gaiola area, a tunnel which is about 780 meters long, leads to one of the most enchanting archaeological parks that the human eye can ever see.
Uncontaminated, panoramic and full of charm, the small park of Pausilypon narrates a distant story, made up of illustrious Romans and emperors, of centuries of archaeology and discoveries, without neglecting noir legends, linked to the mysterious islet of Gaiola, a decadent icon of today’s Posillipo.
<< What will we see? >>
A long tunnel dug into the tuff in the Augustan period, and brought to light during the Bourbon period; an archaeological area comprising of two theatres; a breathtaking view over the bay of Trentaremi and Nisida.
